Inform chapter members about opportunities for educational assistance from the Society level

Apprise members of scholarships and awards available from Iowa State Organization

a. Upsilon State Memorial Award ($800 annual award to member for service to DKG)
b. Upsilon Educational Study Scholarship ($600 annual award to further member’s education)
c. Upsilon Road Scholarship (annual $600 award for educational study and travel)
d. Educational Excellence Award (annual $50 award to non-member recognized for educational service in the community)

Share information with chapter members about local financial awards given by chapter
*
a. Continuing Education Grant (annual $50 or more to member to further education)
b. Distinguished Service to Education (annual $50 or more to community member providing service to education)
c. Arline Dieterich Education Grant ($500 given in first year of biennium to PreK-K12 teacher in public or parochial Dubuque school for classroom development in specialized area
d. Helen Watts Teacher Education Grant ($800 awarded in second year of biennium to a sophomore or junior education major at one of the local Dubuque universities
